Day 0: |
Optional Airport Transfer and BriefingIf you opt for the airport transfer, we'll pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Pre-trek briefing at your Arusha hotel. It's recommended to arrive at least one day prior to the trek. During the briefing, we'll review your equipment and arrange any necessary gear rentals. Day 1: |
Arusha to Miriakamba HutYour journey starts with a drive from Arusha to Momella Gate, the starting point of the trek. After registering at the park gate, the trek begins through open grasslands where wildlife such as giraffes and buffaloes may be spotted. The trail then enters the lush rainforest, leading to Miriakamba Hut where you'll spend the night.

Day 2: |
Miriakamba Hut to Saddle HutAfter breakfast, continue your ascent through the rainforest. The trail gradually transitions into the heath and moorland zone, adorned with giant lobelias and other unique flora. Arrive at Saddle Hut in the afternoon, where you can optionally hike to Little Meru for acclimatization and enjoy panoramic views.

Day 3: |
Acclimatization at Saddle HutSpend the day at Saddle Hut to acclimatize. Take a short hike to Little Meru or explore the surrounding area. This extra day helps your body adjust to the altitude, increasing your chances of a successful summit. Enjoy the stunning views and prepare for the summit push.

Day 4: |
Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba HutBegin your summit push early in the morning, navigating through rocky terrain to reach Socialist Peak, the summit of Mount Meru. Experience breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscapes from the summit. After celebrating your achievement, descend back to Saddle Hut for a short rest and lunch. Continue descending to Miriakamba Hut for overnight stay.

Day 5: |
Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate and Return to ArushaDescend from Miriakamba Hut through the rainforest back to Momella Gate. Receive your summit certificates at the gate and drive back to Arusha. Reflect on your adventure and enjoy a well-deserved rest in Arusha or continue with your onward journey.
