Day 0 |
Optional Airport Transfer and BriefingIf you've chosen airport transfers, we'll pick you up from either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. At your Moshi hotel, there will be a pre-trek briefing. We recommend arriving at least one day before the trek starts to attend this session. We'll also review and provide any necessary equipment. Day 1 |
Hotel to Mti Mkubwa CampAfter breakfast and briefing, we'll drive to Londorossi Park Gate, about a 3-hour drive. From there, a forest track accessible by a 4WD vehicle leads to Lemosho Glades. The trek then continues along forest trails to Mti Mkubwa (big tree) campsite.

Day 2 |
Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 CampAfter a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic trail through the lush rainforest, transitioning into the captivating moorland. Marvel at the picturesque landscape dominated by Erica and Lobelia plants. After approximately 3-4 hours, arrive at Shira Camp 1 for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 3 |
Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 CampToday, we continue our ascent from Shira 1 Camp, navigating through the stunning landscapes of moorland. The trail leads us to Shira 2 Camp, where we rest for the night amidst breathtaking mountain views.

Day 4 |
Shira 2 Camp to Barranco CampToday, we begin our trek by leaving Shira 2 Camp and embarking on an ascent up the Barranco Wall, a steep ridge that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. We then descend into the Karanga Valley before reaching the junction connecting with the Mweka Trail.

Day 5 |
Barranco Camp to Karanga CampToday's trek takes us from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp as we continue ascending toward our ultimate goal. We navigate through rocky terrain and picturesque landscapes, gaining altitude as we approach the Barafu Camp. Karanga Camp offers a serene resting point before the final push to the summit.

Karanga Camp to Barafu CampToday, we continue our ascent towards Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit push. The terrain gradually changes to rocky and barren landscapes as we gain elevation.

Day 7 |
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka CampToday marks the summit day. We start the final push in the early hours, navigating the challenging terrain towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
After celebrating our achievement at Uhuru Peak, we begin the descent back to Mweka Camp.

Day 8 |
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Arusha/MoshiToday marks the final leg of our Kilimanjaro journey. We descend from Mweka Camp through the lush forest to Mweka Gate, where we receive our summit certificates.
After completing the trek, we provide transportation back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, where you can reflect on your unforgettable Kilimanjaro experience. |
