Pre-trek Briefing and Airport TransferUpon your arrival at either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport, our team will be ready to provide optional airport transfers, ensuring a smooth transition to your accommodation in Moshi. At your hotel in Moshi, we will conduct a comprehensive pre-trek briefing, setting the stage for your upcoming adventure. We advise arriving at least one day prior to the trek's commencement to participate fully in this briefing. During this session, our experienced guides will review your equipment and address any requirements or questions you may have. Hotel to Umbwe Cave CampThe journey begins with a scenic drive from Moshi to the Umbwe Gate, a route that takes approximately one hour. As we commence the trek, we enter the enchanting rainforest, immersing ourselves in its lush greenery and diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, a packed lunch will be provided to keep you energized.

Umbwe Cave Camp to Barranco CampAfter a nourishing breakfast, we bid farewell to the forest glades and ascend towards Barranco Camp, traversing the open moorland. This leg of the journey offers breathtaking panoramas and a change in terrain.

Day 3 |
Stay at Barranco CampToday is dedicated to acclimatization at Barranco Camp, a crucial step in adapting to the altitude. This extra day not only eases physical exertion but also enhances your overall acclimatization process, ensuring a smoother ascent.

Day 4 |
Barranco Camp to Karanga CampFollowing breakfast, we embark on a challenging ascent up the steep Barranco Wall, leading us to Karanga Camp nestled in the Karanga Valley. This segment offers a thrilling ridge hike and stunning vistas.

Day 5 |
Karanga Camp to Barafu CampContinuing our ascent, we make our way to Barafu Camp, marking the completion of the South Circuit. Here, we rest, refuel, and prepare for the summit push, soaking in the panoramic views that surround us.

Day 6 |
Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka CampIn the early hours, we embark on the final ascent towards the summit, navigating challenging terrain and breathtaking landscapes. Upon reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, we celebrate this monumental achievement before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7 |
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi HotelAfter a hearty breakfast, we begin our descent to Mweka Park Gate, where you will receive your well-deserved summit certificates. As we descend through various terrains, including forested areas that may be wet and muddy, we recommend using gaiters and trekking poles for added stability. Dress comfortably in shorts and t-shirts, but keep rain gear and warmer clothing accessible. Upon reaching Mweka Village, a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Moshi, marking the conclusion of this unforgettable journey.
